DataDelta Consulting — Taming fleet sprawl across 2,400 devices

A fast-growing consultancy brought 2,400 unmanaged BYOD and company laptops under one policy, cutting IT support tickets by 60% in a single quarter.

The challenge

DataDelta doubled headcount in eighteen months, and device management never kept up. Consultants used a chaotic mix of personal laptops, company machines and contractor hardware — none of it consistently enrolled, encrypted or patched.

The help desk was drowning. Every onboarding meant manual setup, every offboarding risked data walking out the door on an un-wiped device, and nobody could answer a simple client-security questionnaire about how many endpoints were actually compliant.

With clients increasingly demanding proof of device hygiene before sharing sensitive data, the unmanaged fleet had become a commercial liability, not just an IT headache.

Our solution

Korur rolled out a unified device-management platform covering both company-owned and BYOD hardware, with separate policies that respect personal privacy on personal devices while enforcing encryption, screen locks and patch baselines everywhere.

We automated the full lifecycle: zero-touch enrolment on first boot, app and policy delivery without a technician, and one-click remote wipe scoped to work data only on offboarding. New consultants are now productive in minutes instead of a half-day of manual setup.

A single compliance dashboard now answers the questions that used to take days to assemble — how many devices are encrypted, patched and enrolled — turning client security questionnaires from a scramble into a screenshot.

We used to guess how many of our laptops were actually secure. Now I can show a client the exact compliance number in one screen — and our help desk got its life back. Sixty percent fewer tickets is not a rounding error.
